Grade 10: The Poster Competition and Art Gallery

September 22, 2021

At SHSID, a new year means new teachers, possibly new classmates, and, most importantly, new classrooms! The 10th-grade students now have escaped the "pain" of climbing up to the third floor of Zhentao Building every day. Now, it’s a delightful and happy path towards the second floor.

A new classroom is a place in desperate need of decoration. All it had at the start was the tables and chairs without much artistic design. Due to this, the annual poster competition started with the simple rules being: “Design your classroom as best as you can”. After a week or so of preparation, during Friday lunchtime, a few judges walked around the classroom and ranked the classrooms from first place to third place. Class 10 ended as the honorable first place, with Classes 1 and 6 being second place, and Classes 2, 3, 5, and 7 being third place. After all, all the posters and the design of each class looked magnificent!

This year, it is Yiyi from class 10(9) that has her splendid artwork displayed throughout the hallway. As an aspiring artist with an interest in fashion, many of her drawings display an artistic value related to one’s fashion.
