On September 6th, Babson College, Boston College, and Tufts University held an open information session at SHSID. Despite the unexpected rainy weather, over 200 students and parents gatheredfor this joint presentation.

To start the evening, Mr. Weber, Mr. Sweet, and Ms. Kok briefly introduced their institutions’ academics and campus life to give the audience some background information.

Then, they moved on to 4 key aspects that are paid most attention to during the application process—academic achievement, extracurricular engagement, voice, and institutional priorities. After some general questions, students and parents broke down into small groups to ask individual or college-specific questions at each college’s booth.

This session gave many potential applicants an insider’s view and ideas to prepare the students for the application process ahead.
