Chinese culture week, which the students were really looking forward to, has begun!

During the first day of the Chinese culture week, all the primary school students watched a wonderful performance by Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe . The performance of actors won much applause from the students. At the same time, the host also introduced some general knowledge about the Beijing Opera. Students learned a lot about different characters, how to wear the clothes and hat. Some students got the chance to learn some action on the stage. All the students experienced the charm of Chinese culture by personal involvement.

During Chinese class on next day, the students not only learned the long history of Chinese fan culture, enjoyed the different varieties of the fans, but also learned how to draw fan.

They started to draw the picture with a pencil on the fan, and then very carefully, colored it with a watercolor pen. They all focused their attention on it.

The second grade students made the special fan with their own efforts , they also realized how interesting the Chinese fan culture is!

As one of the Culture Week activities, the second grade students watched a Chinese traditional cartoon during class.

Not only the humor and wisdom of the characters, but also the brave and strong attributes of the characters affected them deeply. They enjoyed it so much.

During play time , the second grade teachers prepared some Chinese traditional toys for the students.

First, the teachers introduced the names of these toys and told them how to play them. All the students were eager to have a try.

From the smiles on their faces, it showed they thought it was really fun!

On the last day,the children of second grade were all dressed up in the traditional Chinese costume such as Tang suit, Hanfu, and Qi pao. They all looked so excited!

We also invited some parents to explain the history of the Chinese costume to children and a variety of etiquette.
