The school’s reading race held from October 8th until the end of November

During the personal growth lesson, each student created their own book mark to use as a stamp collector. For each book the students read, they must answer 1 or 2 questions before receiving a stamp. Every week, teachers checked the number of stamps on every student’s book mark. The top three students in each grade received the reading star certificate at the weekly assembly.

The students of grade 2 have been very busy over the last couple of weeks reading and collecting stamps for the reading race. Every time a student read a new book, they went and told their teacher what the book is about, and earned themselves a stamp on their home-made book marks that they made themselves. Once a student reads 20 books and gets 20 stamps, they are eligible for a pizza party However, teachers still want to encourage the students who have already collected 20 stamps to keep up the good work and keep reading!

On November 23rd, every child who has collected all the reading stamps took part in the pizza party well prepared by teachers, which was the best prize for having the good habit of loving reading.

Hope the students in grade two will have more fun from the reading race.
