I came, I saw, I succeed at the Friday Club

After lunch, what would you do? Going sports, talking with friends, or just being in a daze? These were all out of date. For Grade Six students, they had one more different choice, that was, Friday Club. Grade Six held clubs on each Friday so that kids could learn something new and do team work with friends as well.

Various Choices

Every kid was interested in various fields. And as we all know, interest was the best teacher. So Grade Six provided more than 20 different clubs in entertainment, language learning, drawing, handcraft etc.

Kids might have three choices and picked up one at last. In order to find the most wonderful one, they tried to consult the teacher and understand the content they would learn. Before making a final decision, they had already communicated with friends and teachers for several times. By looking for the best club, they indirectly brought out the best in themselves.

Splendid Courses

Do you wanted to learn your third language or become a paper plane talent? Watching the latest movie was quite cool as well. At the Friday Club, all these dreams would come true.

Learning was fun. That was the theme of club. Getting into a language club, kids might have the chance to learn the culture as well as the language. For instance, teachers from Wales would like to say authentic Cymru. In the meanwhile, kids learnt some customs and listened to songs from Wales. Could you refuse to have a taste of Spanish tradition by eating Spanish food when pronouncing the alphabet? Just learn it in a relax way

As for handcraft, kids would felt amazed how creative they were. Teachers showed them one pattern, different patterns would be made soon. They were not only learning but also designing. Before mothers’ day, the handmade heart and flower became popular gifts. In terms of Fathers’ Day, of course the popular present was the paper plane which could fly to the sky.

When using the scissors and tapes, they tried to share them one by one. While, it was impossible to finish a hand chain without partner’s help. In the process, students naturally get in the habit of working with others.

Brilliant Success

Exam was not the only way to test whether you were diligent.

Teachers at the Friday Club played a role of club manager instead of instructor. Kids were encouraged to create, design their own ideas and realize them. Even sometimes, teachers learnt some new skills from the kids. All the awesome handmade works and funny dialogues of school life witnessed students’ brilliant success.

As the saying goes, I came, I saw, I conquered. Every teenager in Grade Six could say, I came, I saw, I succeed at the Friday Club.
