Solemn Declaration

Ever since its establishment, with the aims of enhancing the students’ international consciousness, developing their ability to adapt to the information era and strengthening their multi-lingual communication skills, Shanghai High School International Division has been upholding the ideals of offering the students a life-long education and helping them foster a wholesome personality and outstanding individuality, whereby SHSID receives high esteem from both the public and the parents. However, it has been exposed recently that some companies and intermediary agencies are claiming to be subsidiaries of SHSID and falsely stating that they are capable of manipulating admission results of SHSID, and thus profiting illicitly from tutoring classes. Therefore, SHSID hereby declares:

1. Our school consistently adheres to the principle that education is for public welfare, and has never had any cooperative agreement or directly cooperated, in any form, with any individual, company or intermediary agency.

2. Our school pledges that the admission process of qualified applicants will be conducted on the basis of transparency and fairness, according to a uniform standard.

3. Our school advises the applicants and their parents to beware of these deceptive activities.

4. Our school will reserve the right to pursue legal action against any individual, company or institution that usurps the name of our school and brings infamy on it.
