Basketball

The SHSID high school varsity basketball, under British coach Jayme Lawman, have gradually developed into one of the school’s most elite teams. After dominating the Shanghai School Sports Basketball League for 3 consecutive seasons, winning 3 championships and never losing a regular season game, the Stallions varsity basketball team were invited to compete in the newly formed JrNBA Shanghai League in 2017. In their first JrNBA season the Stallions finished undefeated yet again and were crowned champions. In 2018 the Stallions would make another trip back to the big dance but would fall short to Shanghai powerhouse Nanmo by a score of 65-55. The team also makes regular trips to Singapore to compete in the Asia Pacific Youth Basketball Cup.
