SPDC

Established in 2010, the SPDC (SHSID Popular Dance Club) is a thriving community under the guidance of Ms. Gui. With over 100 passionate members from grades 7 to 12, SPDC has made its mark both inside and outside the school. Known for never missing an opportunity to perform, SPDC is a staple at events such as the Art Festival, Club Showcase, and 舞蹈专场 Dance/Talent Shows, always closing the shows with unforgettable performances that leave audiences in awe. Every semester, anywhere from 5-10 new members join the club, finding not only a place to dance but also a family where they can grow, improve, and become the best versions of themselves.


Beyond the school grounds, SPDC has earned prestigious awards, such as the First Prize at the TAOLI CUP Dance Competition for “SEE YOU AGAIN” and First Prize at the China MEI YU Dance Competition for “Let’s Dance.” The club’s influence extends beyond the high school, including collaborations with Shanghui Experimental School, fostering connections across different age groups and experiences. SPDC is not just a club but a family, where performances often feature members from multiple grades working together under the leadership of 1-2 grade-specific leaders and a teacher supervisor.


SPDC is renowned for its excellence in dance, community building, and teamwork, and it continues to make an impact by winning competitions and inspiring students, both within and outside the school.
