Live 2 Drama

Since its inception in 2012, Live 2 Drama has been one of the most active musical theater groups at Shanghai High School International Division. Entirely student-run, the club is dedicated to promoting musical theater through original posters, performance videos, and online platforms like Bilibili, WeChat, and video accounts. Every year, L2D's annual showcase attracts a large audience, selling over 300 tickets. In the past, we've performed Broadway hits like Heathers, Hadestown, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Aladdin, Legally Blonde, and High School Musical on both on-campus and off-campus stages, including art festivals, drama festivals, and the International Division's 30th-anniversary celebration. In 2023, we donated all proceeds to Fosun Foundation's "Caring for Young Women" program to support those in need. In 2024, we're excited to bring the heartwarming Come From Away to the stage, conveying the kindness of humanity and the importance of understanding different cultures through song and performance. Beyond the actors on stage, our club is also home to talented backstage crew members including stylists, costume designers, prop masters, and photographers. Together, we create unforgettable performances. In the future, Live 2 Drama will continue to strive to bring more diverse, rich, and vibrant stage productions to the entire school community.
