Zhengming Club

Zhengming Club (争鸣社) is the only official Chinese magazine club of Shanghai High School International Division. Every semester, we publish the Zhaoyang 《朝阳》 magazine as our main activity, delivering the crystallization of students’ literary works and wonderful designs to all our readers. The content of the magazine includes original student pieces, current affairs, campus stories, poems, illustrations, and other original masterpieces. At Zhengming Club, writers who love literature and artists who love designing magazines work together to great result. In 2023, Zhengming Club was responsible for editing and successfully publishing the official Shangzhongyuan 《上中缘》special edition magazine—a compilation of student, faculty, and alumni stories—to celebrate SHSID’s 30th anniversary. In addition, we also hosted traditional Chinese game-styled charity sales on campus last school year. By doing so, we were featured during the annual MIX Day. Overall, we raised and donated nearly 2000 RMB to Shanghai’s Project Hope. In the future, Zhengming Club will continue to be a platform for showcasing students’ writing skills, editing skills and creative imagination.
