Reading Race in Primary

From Sep,26 this week, the new Reading Race already started in the primary section. The race will be finish by the end of Novemember, which will last two months. The aim of the activity is to encourage the students read more good books and raise the good habit of reading. According to the different ages, teachers have settled different aims for each grade. For first graders, they need to finish a total of 500 minutes of reading; For second graders, they need to finish twenty easy pictures books or short stories; For third graders, they need to finish 10 more difficule chapter books unless ESL students; For fourth graders, they need to finish 10 harder chapter books, easy chapter books for ESL. Every student will gain a stamp from his homeroom teachers on his bookmark once he finishes a book. By the end of this semester, there will be a celebration pizza party for all the students who have reached the goal. The photos show that the kids are decorating their own bookmarks.
