Grade 10 Assembly:Know More about Drama
On a beautiful morning on December 18, with an art festival in the afternoon, students were excited and actively discussing. Nevertheless, they soon gave full attention and enthusiasm to the presenters in the assembly.
Steven from Grade 9, a leader from Sciacademy, introduced their annual charity sale. That includes the special 2025 health calendar, where each month is elaborately designed by its members along with one page of a carefully written article about health and disease prevention.
The next up was Aleksa from 10-9; he defined "what is drama?" and presented his experiences with it. Aleksa pointed out that “EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD IS COMMEDIA DEL’ARTE.”
He further pointed out that being sure what the targeted audience is was very important in drama. Identifying their own presentation techniques and artistic expression according to the type of audience is also important. For instance, early English people had play acts that were mostly enjoyed by commoners, the ones that were not as educated. This situation limited the drama’s ability to convey messages that may have a social impact. Through out the talk, Aleksa had great interactions with the audience and encouraged them to join his speech and think critically with him.
