Puxi Campus Middle and Primary School Science and Technology Department:Awards of the National Youth AI Innovation and Practice Competition

Recently, the National Youth AI Innovation and Practice Competition brought exciting news: three students from SHSID Middle and Primary School—Nuoyi Zhang, Michelle Cheng, and Sherrie Le stood out among thousands of participants nationwide and won the Outstanding Work Award in the AI Art Creation category, the highest award for the elementary school group.



The 2024 National Youth AI Innovation and Practice Competition was co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science and Technology Center, China Association of Children’s Science Instructors, Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, and Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology. Under the theme "Co-Creating the Future with AI," the event attracted nearly 10,000 participants from across the country. The competition featured five categories: AI Art Creation, AI Interactive Design, AI Engineering Practice, AI Algorithm Challenge, and AI Innovative Teaching Cases, aiming to inspire youth interest and creativity in AI technology.

The three award-winning students from SHSID participated in the AI Art Creation category. They applied knowledge learned from their Creative Graffiti and Design club lessons, leveraging AI in the Stable Diffusion (SD) category. From conceptual design to technical execution, they showcased outstanding creativity and teamwork.





Through this competition, the students not only earned a prestigious honor but also deepened their understanding of AI technologies in practice. They mastered precise control processes for AI-generated visuals, laying a solid foundation for their future learning and life. SHSID remains committed to fostering technological innovation education and cultivating future talents with international perspectives and creative abilities.
