Puxi Campus G6-8 Middle School Division Opening Ceremony

On the morning of February 17th, all teachers and students from the Middle School Division gathered in the grand auditorium with renewed enthusiasm to welcome the arrival of the new semester together. At exactly 10:00 a.m., the opening ceremony officially commenced, officiated by Ms. Wu Wenyi.



Following Ms. Wu Wenyi’s introduction, student representatives from the 6th – 8th grades took to the stage to speak. As Anna from Class 6-8, Aaron from Class 7-4，and Dora from Class 8-1 delivered their speeches. Anna shared her extensive experience in academic activities and insights on time management. Aaron, using the English Drama Competition as an example, encouraged everyone to embrace new challenges with courage and not to fear setbacks. Dora, from the perspective of an eighth-grade soon-to-be graduate, discussed how to handle academic responsibilities and personal interests more independently and efficiently, laying a solid foundation for her future.



After the students' speeches, Mr. Shen Tianyuan, the Vice Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, delivered his wishes for the new semester. Through his theme "Virtue as the boat, wisdom as the sail — Become Your Best Self This Semester!", he urged students to embrace kindness, respect, and integrity, stating, "Integrity lays the foundation, academic excellence charts the path — with these twin pillars, we advance into a future of purpose！"



The Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, Mr. Liu Lian, accentuated his blessings for the new semester with three core words – “Confidence, Independence and Freedom”– in hopes that students will spur themselves on, constantly challenge themselves, persevere and strive to advance, and, amidst a time of rapidly-changing AI technology, maintain the ability to think independently as they bravely embrace unlimited possibilities.



Wrapping up the ceremony, Principal Liu Lian unveiled the Division Star-Class Rankings, awarding students titles like “Dedicated Independent Learner,” “Community Service Contributor,” “Impressive Versatility,” and “Exemplary Sports Spirit.” Amid cheers, the Middle School Division pledged to tackle the new term with energy and vision, showing they are ready to write their next chapter of success.
