New Semester, New Beginnings: Opening Ceremony for Grades 1-3 Successfully Held

The opening ceremony for Grades 1-3 of the Puxi Campus of SHSID was held in the school auditorium on the morning of February 17th. Accompanied by light and cheerful opening music, teachers and students entered in an orderly manner, marking the beginning of the new semester.



The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Zhang Yi, Director of SHSID Puxi Campus Grades 1-3, who greeted the attending guests and new students and officially declared the opening ceremony underway. Next, student representatives—Presley from Grade 1, Crystal from Grade 2, and Eleanor from Grade 3—took the stage to deliver their speeches. Presley shared her story of growth at school with vibrant language, expressing gratitude to her teachers and classmates. Crystal, with humor and sincerity, thanked the teachers for their hard work and highlighted how her class’s achievements during the Art Festival deepened her appreciation for teamwork. Eleanor shared her experiences from the first semester of Grade 3, emphasizing the importance of making study plans, managing time effectively, and staying committed to physical activities.









After the student speeches, a video titled "Division Highlights" was played, capturing the vibrant campus life of the previous semester. Familiar scenes brought everyone back to those days filled with laughter and hard work.





Next, Ms. Liu Fang, Vice Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, took the stage to deliver her address for the new semester. Centered on the themes of "courage, perseverance, kindness, and joy," she encouraged students to embrace new challenges and never give up in the face of difficulties. Ms. Liu emphasized that every effort brings students closer to their goals and expressed her hope that students would warm others with smiles and kindness, making the campus a place full of love and happiness. She concluded by wishing the students a semester filled with the joy of learning and the exploration of the unknown.



During the awards segment, teachers announced the "Eight Stars" winners from the previous semester, recognizing students who excelled in various areas. Ms. Liu Fang and Ms. Miao Xiaoling, Assistant Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, then presented trophies to the classes receiving "Excellent Class" honors and took group photos with the class representatives. This segment not only acknowledged the hard work of the past semester but also motivated all teachers and students to strive for greater achievements in the new term.

















Finally, Ms. Zhang Yi offered her blessings for the new semester. She encouraged everyone to cherish each day of learning, remain curious, bravely explore new knowledge, and actively participate in school activities.



As the ceremony concluded with a heartfelt video of teachers’ blessings for the new semester, the children embarked on their new academic journey. The Grades 1-3 section looks forward to working hand in hand with all teachers, students, and parents to create a fulfilling and wonderful semester together!
