March 3, 2025

On February 28, Mr. Will Ikerd spoke on What is AP Art History in the theater of the Zhongxing Building. Based on the syllabus of AP Art History, the lecture introduced the content of the course, AP historical thinking skills involved, the big ideas of the course contents, etc.. It showed students the general framework of the whole course in terms of units, geographic regions, and some specific works of art. Mr. Ikerd also advised who should take AP Art History and listed some college majors for students to consider in the future.

As the second half of the 10th-grade semester is a critical time for students to choose their courses, this lecture was designed to appeal to students who are interested in both history and art and provide them with a list of possible options. It is hoped that students will be able to choose the course that best suits them, taking into account their interests, abilities, and future plans.
