Career Day in Puxi Campus Third Grade: A Day of Learning and Inspiration

March 3, 2025

This Thursday, our third graders in Puxi campus were treated to a special event—Career Day! The students had the incredible opportunity to meet the parents of their classmates and learn about a variety of exciting careers. Each parent shared their profession with the students, offering insights into the world of work and inspiring them to think about their own future paths.

Eva’s dad shared his career at Rata Food Company, Yiran’s mom gave students an insight into her career at a food and beverage innovation company, Nathan’s dad, explained his role as an architect, and Olivia’s dad shared his career in film production. But that’s not all, we also had Gemma’s dad who talked about his food and wine family business, Phoebe’s dad who shared his experience as a technology consultant, Anthony’s mom who works in perfume sales, and Charmie’s mom who travels the sky as an airplane flight attendant!

Career Day was more than just a fun event—it was a valuable learning experience for all the students. Through the stories and experiences shared by the parents, the third graders gained insight into various industries and careers, learning several important lessons along the way. They discovered the diversity of professions, realizing that there are countless types of jobs, each requiring unique skills and talents. Whether it’s innovating in the food industry, designing buildings, or creating films, every role holds its own significance. The students also learned that teamwork is essential in nearly every career, from collaborating with food scientists to working alongside an airplane crew, understanding that success often depends on collective effort.

Additionally, they saw how careers blend creativity with practicality. Whether it’s designing a new snack, planning a structure, or producing a movie—creativity and problem-solving go hand in hand. Most importantly, Career Day inspired the students to dream big. They realized that with hard work, curiosity, and passion, there are no limits to what they can achieve. This event not only broadened their horizons but also ignited a sense of excitement and confidence about their future possibilities.

Thanks to the parents who took the time to share their careers. Our students are now inspired to explore all the possibilities that lie ahead for them. Who knows—maybe one of our third graders will become the next great architect, filmmaker, food innovator, or snack designer!
