Middle and Primary School English Department:International Women's Day Reading Activity
On Wednesday, March 5th, the Middle and Primary School English Department hosted a lively lunchtime event to celebrate the upcoming International Women’s Day. The focus was to spark meaningful conversations about the role of inclusion in fostering responsible global citizens.
Excitement filled the Reading Room in the Hsi building as students eagerly participated in a variety of engaging activities! From the Inclusion Café, where they explored a curated menu of books highlighting the power of respect and diversity, to an interactive Bingo challenge, where students delved into fact files about trailblazing women from different cultures and historical periods, every activity encouraged reflection and discovery. Students also had the opportunity to listen to powerful, impassioned speeches from their peers, showcasing their aspirations for a more inclusive future.
We hope this experience inspires students to think critically about equality and inclusivity—not just as concepts but as actions. By applying these values in their daily lives, they can help accelerate the journey toward a world built on mutual respect and opportunity for all.
