High School Chinese Department: Reading Sharing and Literary Feast
"One who is well-read exudes elegance from within." Reading not only makes one wise but also enriches the soul. In early March, in the classroom, under the guidance of their teachers, students immerse themselves in the world of poetry and prose, experiencing the emotions and wisdom contained within the words. Each poem and every article is like a window, allowing readers to glimpse a broader world, understand the lives of others, draw lessons from their experiences, and enrich their inner selves.
The joy and rewards of reading will be showcased more vividly during the fourth week (March 10th to March 14th). Every noon, students' clear and sincere voices will echo through the broadcast system of the Zhongxing Building. Through their readings, they will share captivating excerpts from books, leading teachers and students into the world of great literature. At the same time, carefully designed posters will appear in various corners of the campus, using both text and images to showcase students' love and reflections on literature. Every word and every picture is a heartfelt expression of their connection to books.
Even more exciting is that at noon on March 12th, the renowned author Mr. Ma Boyong will visit Shanghai High School International Division to share a special event about reading with all teachers and students. His presence will undoubtedly add greater significance to this event.
Let us all look forward to this event filled with the fragrance of books and warmth! Here, reading is nourishing for the soul and a beautiful exchange with words, ideas, and one another. Join us, experience the charm of reading, let the fragrance of books permeate the campus, and let wisdom illuminate our lives!
