High School Physics Department: Visit to the Physics Laboratory in the West Area of Campus
On the morning of March 10th, the High School Physics Group of the International Department conducted a site visit to the newly completed comprehensive experimental floor in the west area of campus. This teaching space encompasses physics, biology, music, other subject laboratories, and a maker practice area, providing diverse teaching support for all school teachers and students.
During the visit, the teachers focused on inspecting the physics experiment area and experienced professional acoustic instruments and creative construction projects on-site. The laboratory supervisor introduced: "These laboratories are not only equipped with conventional teaching instruments but also introduce innovative equipment such as 3D printers to support interdisciplinary practice."
During the visit, Mr. Xu Zhencheng, the head of the High School Physics Department, and Mr. Guo Lei, the head of the Junior High School Physics Department, had an in-depth exchange. They discussed the issue of the gradient connection between junior and senior high school physics courses in depth. They hoped that through the coherent design of experimental teaching, students' interest in scientific inquiry could be stimulated, and systematic cultivation of experimental literacy could be achieved.
The opening of the laboratories in the west area of campus has expanded the practical space for physics teaching and provided comprehensive support for regular classroom teaching, club activities, project research, and teaching aid development. In the future, the high school physics department of both junior and senior grades will rely on this laboratory to strengthen cooperation and jointly create an innovative practical platform with international standards.
