Grade 10 Assembly: A Journey of Public Speaking

The 10th-grade assembly on March 12 started in the Zhongxing Theater with an introduction to the upcoming Pi Day activity hosted by STEMdoge. This year, STEMdoge will arrange online and offline activities for every high school student to participate in. Online activities will include publishing math and history-related articles and an online scavenger hunt. Offline activities will include origami, sports math games, and lottery trivia. Participants in these activities could win not only prizes but also additional term scores, which excited all.



Next, Yang shared an inspirational story regarding her public speaking journey. Despite being a shy girl in primary school, she stepped on the stage for the first time due to her infinite passion for hosting and public speaking. The CCTV public speaking competition marked a turning point in Yang’s life: through solid linguistic foundations and sincere emotional expressions, she achieved an outstanding award on the national level. Henceforth, Yang actively participated in many speech competitions, attending the annual English speech competition every year and receiving fantastic results. She also hosted multiple on-campus events, from the Art Festival to the Dance Showcase. 


Today’s assembly motivated students to pursue their dreams, encouraging them to participate in activities and actively challenge themselves in the future.
