Puxi Campus Grade 7: Basketball Class Tournament Concludes Successfully
To enrich campus cultural life, enhance students' physical fitness, and foster team spirit, the Puxi Seventh Grade Basketball Class Tournament kicked off in early March. After two weeks of intense competition, Class 7 (8) emerged victorious with a 20-16 win over Class 7 (4), claiming the championship title. Ethan from Class 7 (4) was awarded MVP of the finals.
At 12:30 PM on March 13, the finals commenced with the referee's whistle. Both teams quickly got into the game, with Class 7 (8) scoring first through seamless teamwork. The young players showcased their skills with steals and fast breaks, while the cheerleaders' enthusiastic chants heightened the atmosphere. The second half saw ezven fiercer competition. Ethan, the star player of Class 7 (4), created multiple opportunities for his team with his exceptional rebounding skills, causing the scores to seesaw, keeping the suspense alive. At the critical moment, Class 7 (8) maintained their composure and secured the victory through solid teamwork.
After the match, Ms. Shen Ying, the seventh-grade leader, addressed the students: "Winning or losing is momentary, but unity and effort are the most valuable medals of youth." Although Class 7 (4) fell short, the players expressed, "We enjoyed the process and will strive even harder next time!"
The two-week tournament featured 12 participating classes, fully showcasing the positive spirit of the seventh-grade students. Through basketball, friendships were forged, and learning was promoted. This thrilling youthful rivalry is sure to become an unforgettable chapter in the students' middle school life.
