Grade 9 Assembly: First Aid Course and Math Modeling Challenge Sharing

On 3/18, the entire 9th grade gathered in the ZX Building theater for another grade assembly.

After the daily event announcements, a student introduced the 9th graders to an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course. It was a three-hour course teaching first aid, CPR, and how to use an AED, certified by the American Heart Association. It is an excellent opportunity to both develop interests and learn a useful skill.

Following this, an outstanding group that participated in the IMMC (International Mathematical Modeling Challenge) stepped up to provide insight into their work process and advise those who are related. Their informative speech consisted of a detailed account of their question-picking and teamwork during the modeling process. They provided valuable advice regarding the work division between group mates and evidence of excellent communication and leadership skills.
