Puxi Campus G8: Singing the songs of memories -- the 8th grade singing competition
On the afternoon of March 20th, with sunlight bathing the campus, a musical feast commenced in the auditorium. The Grade 8 ASB students meticulously planned and successfully hosted the inaugural Singing Competition, illuminating the entire campus with their songs and allowing the beautiful melodies to resonate in every corner of the school.
This competition was aimed at the Grade 8 students who are about to graduate. The songs conveyed memories and reluctance to part with junior high school life, and told precious stories of friendship. The singing contest not only allowed the contestants to showcase their talents but also touched many students, adding an unforgettable touch to everyone's junior high school life.
The twelve contestants each displayed their unique charm. Their singing styles were diverse and distinctive. The long, soulful ballads flowed like a warm stream, gently entering the hearts of the students and touching every chord. The cheerful and lively songs were like sunshine on one's face, making people unable to resist swaying to the rhythm. The passionate and rhythmic rap instantly ignited the atmosphere of the venue, leaving the students in awe. The contestants' colorful voices echoed in the auditorium, bringing endless shock and emotion to the audience.
This singing competition was not only a feast of music but also full of surprises and joy. The students of ASB had carefully prepared many interactive segments, infusing the entire event with happiness and vitality. The unexpected appearance and performance of Mr. Shen Tianyuan, Vice Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, instantly ignited the passion of the audience, eliciting cheers and excitement from the students. The student lottery segment further invigorated those who were already immersed in the music. Moreover, the "Guess the Song Title" segment engaged every member of the audience in this musical celebration.
The finale, which was the most anticipated segment by the students, was the teacher choir performance. The Chinese teachers delivered a beautiful and heartfelt rendition of the popular song "越来越不懂" as a blessing to the graduating students. Not to be outdone, the foreign teachers performed the globally popular song "All Star," instantly bringing the atmosphere in the auditorium to its peak.
Happy times are always fleeting. The singing competition, which lasted the entire afternoon, came to a successful close amidst laughter and cheers. Emma from Class 8-8 won the championship with her outstanding performance, Audrey from Class 8-9 secured the second place, and Amy from Class 8-7 and Selina from Class 8-9 tied for third place. Each contestant left an unforgettable impression on the audience and judges with their most touching voices. Thanks to the hard work of the ASB students, this music feast, entirely organized by students, achieved great success and added invaluable precious memories to the students' graduation season.
