Grade 12 Assembly: Through Their Eyes

The March 28th G12 assembly at XMT Auditorium featured a special presentation by Jolene from Class 12(4) on her assistive technology project for the visually impaired.

As a volunteer with "Be Your Eyes," Jolene demonstrated her team's innovative laser-tag game redesign. Using Unity engine, the game simulates glaucoma patients' visual perspective to help sighted players understand the visually impaired community. The project combines physical assistive devices with digital gaming components to promote social awareness.

"We aim to build bridges through gaming," Jolene explained. Having been tested in real volunteer settings, this project exemplifies how international division students are integrating technological innovation with their social responsibilities.
