Grade 9 Assembly: Getting Close to Photography and Rural Education Assistance

April 25, 2025

On the morning of April 22, ninth grade students gathered at the B1 Theater of Zhongxing Building to start their weekly assembly.

Firstly, tenth grade students from Shangyuan Club introduced their rural education assistance project. Since September 2024, members of Shangyuan Society have actively participated in rural education assistance. They used online platforms to bring a variety of courses to the children, covering multiple fields such as English, art, music, etc., broadening the horizons of these local students. Not only that, the club also collaborated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University to teach students in Yunnan. Members of Shangyuan Society expressed their hope that through this project, more rural children can access high-quality educational resources, helping them grow. This sharing sparked the interest of ninth grade students in public welfare activities and encouraged more students to participate in similar projects in the future.

Next, a ninth grade student introduced her insights on portrait photography, and gave a short tutorial on posing. She mentioned that when posing, the face, chest, and legs can be seen as "three faces", and the faces should be broken through tilting the head and other photography techniques. This sharing showcases the students’ exploration and practice of photography art, while providing practical shooting ideas for other students.
