High School|Infinite Biology: 2025 Biology Subject Week
From April 21 to 25, the 2025 Biology Week themed "Infinite Biology" was held in high spirits in Shanghai High School International Division, allowing teachers and students to delve into the boundless wonders of life sciences.
Club Showcase
During the lunch-break club fair, many biology-related student clubs showcased engaging activities outside of Zhongxing Building. STEMDOGE displayed anatomical models of bird beaks and paper-folding models of viral structures, guiding participants to explore the morphological adaptations in birds’ feeding behavior and hands-on construction of 3D viral models. Myelin Club organized reaction speed tests and color recognition games, offering students a direct cognition of neural signal transmission. Under the guidance of Ms. Zeng Qiongyu, members of the Birding Club assisted participants observe and identify birds in campus using telescopes. The Cyano Club compiled a booklet featuring potted plants and wildflowers across the school, introducing their morphological traits and habits. The Bio Olympiad Club collaborated with classmates to build DNA double-helix models, deepening their grasp of molecular biology.
Reading Month Results Show
Biology Week also marked the final show of the "Reading Month" activity. After reading The Genius of Birds and The Hidden Life of Trees, students of G9 and G10 created insightful posters based on book content and their observations of living creatures in campus. Selected outstanding works were exhibited in the lobby of Zhongxing Building, inspiring both reading enthusiasm and observation for life sciences in daily surroundings.
The 2025 Biology Week successfully concluded with so many exciting activities, promoting students to pursue new frontiers in scientific exploration. We look forward to their continued journey in the stories of science!
