Educators offor the Future –– Countdown to the 7th SHSID Youth Teacher Contest
Educators for the Future, Dreamers in Action — As Shanghai High School’s 160th
anniversary approaches, the International Division has officially kicked off its 7th Youth
Teacher Contest on campus, the largest the school has ever hosted.
At a recent pre-contest briefing, the Middle and Primary School Teacher’s Center
(MPTC) announced the contest’s schedule and requirements for participating teachers,
along with key information on event-day logistics and expectations.
The official contest logo was also unveiled. Ingeniously designed, it integrates the
English letter “t” with the Chinese character “七” (seven), symbolizing the contest’s
seventh edition. The dynamic, racetrack-inspired lines running through the logo not only convey motion and energy but also represent the vibrant journeys of young educators
progressing in their professional path. Notably, the designer of the logo, Ms. Zhang, is
also one of this year’s contestants!
Though the contest has yet to begin, the spotlight has already begun to shine on its
participants. Two weeks ago, all participating teachers submitted their talent videos,
making for a preliminary display of creativity and flair. From a gentle teacher
transforming into a fitness powerhouse to a science PhD lighting up the dance floor, the videos showcase a diverse and creative range of abilities: musical performance,
traditional block printing, enamel art, painting, flower arrangement, dialect storytelling,
and more.
With the stage now set, we eagerly await the inspiring performances from our educators
for the future. The countdown continues—and the spotlight is on!
