G8: Movie Week
On November 9th, enthusiasm and excitement bubbled up in SHSID eighth grade as students watched movies selected by their grade teachers from 2:20 to 3:50 p.m. Teachers provided students with a variety of movie choices. Students needed to choose the movies they wanted to watch according to their own preferences and make reservations. Also, they did not forget to group with their friends when rushing to sign up for a movie. The expectation of the afternoon movie viewings made the time in the morning more monotonous. The schoolbags were extra heavy from the snacks stuffed inside.
Watching movies with students in the classroom was a rare relaxation. The wonder of the virtual world made students forget about the pressure of learning. To increase the authenticity of the cinema, the teachers allowed snacks in the teaching building on that day: potato chips, soft drinks and chocolates all appeared in the small cinemas on the fourth floor of Zhentao Building.
After the short happiness was the pity of not being able to finish the movie. Ninety minutes was barely enough time for a movie, but it brought another kind of joy that the movie could not bring. The joy of sharing snacks with classmates, the excitement of the suspenseful plot, and the exhilaration of signing up for the movie together were all brought by the film.
The relaxed atmosphere, captivating movies and delicious snacks gave the eighth-grade students an opportunity to say goodbye to their pre-midterm selves in a happy atmosphere and start the second half of the first semester.
