Grade 9：Online Assembly(4)

On April 10th, Daniel Lee from 9 (2) gave an Assembly presentation to the whole grade, telling the story of his plants.

Caring for plants has been Daniel’s hobby for a quite few years now. He collects and cares for plants that originate in tropical rainforests. Since many plants in such regions require high humidity in order to thrive, he keeps them in a "small green house " made out of transparent containers and artificial light sources. In order to meet their needs, Daniel mixes substrates for planting and adjusts watering and fertilizing schedules.

Daniel is currently interested in plants from Southern China. His goal for this year is to create a Southern Chinese Forest themed terrarium to house his many plants native to Southern China.

He believes that this hobby is great for people who enjoy their alone time or someone who wants a pet but does not have enough time to care for one as this takes little effort and plants are easy to care for.
