Middle School Math Department: Online Teaching

As the whole country unites to fight against COVID-19, the teachers of SHSID Middle School Math Department are working relentlessly to organize and implement a rigorous LinkedClassroom online platform.

In order to maximize students’ learning experience, our educators are striving to create comprehensive course instruction that involves diverse learning strategies and feedback methods. They are also seeking creative ways to cultivate creativity and enthusiasm so that their students remain engaged with their learning. In the 6th grade class, math teachers set up a Real-Time Fun Competition in order to stimulate greater student interest and participation in the learning objectives. In the 7th grade class, math teachers not only introduced the process of analysis, but they also included real-world examples that fostered deeper, more meaningful connections. In the 8th grade class, after considering students' prior knowledge, math teachers recorded clear analysis videos to help them understand more difficult topics and deepen their concept understanding through problem analysis.

The online teaching is a formidable challenge for both teachers and students, but everyone has displayed impressive resiliency and commitment to growth no matter what obstacles they face.
