Grade 7: Service Groups

December 31, 2019

In order to cultivate students’ sense of service and encourage them to become better global citizens, five service groups were set up in Grade 7.

The reading group gathers students who have an avid interest in reading and are enthusiastic about sharing the books they like with others. These book lovers make a poster every month that recommends a book worth reading. Right now, they are devoted to another meaningful project—recording audio books for kids in an underdeveloped part of China.

Students with excellent academic records who are also willing to help others gather together in the Study Group. They share high level learning materials, share their learning methods, share experiences for conquering study difficulties, etc.

The Poster Group is a great team filled with expert artists. They always work together to create posters for all G7 activities. These talented students make posters that are both eye-catching and informative.

News Group Members are good observers and journalists. We write news for the SHSID website and the G7 WeChat Official Account. These accounts are used to post all kinds of activities and important events for grade 7 students. We help keep records of happy moments to look back on.

The Behavior Group is aims to improve student behavior during break time and encourage appropriate and decent manners. This group consists of students who are disciplined and responsible. They are role models for the other students, and they devote their time to preventing inappropriate manners.

After a semester of service activities, students are more aware of the significance of service and also had a lot of fun in service activities. We believe they can do even better next semester.
