Grade 12: Senior Assembly—SHSID Birding Club

On the morning of Dec 13th, the SHSID Birding Club, which focuses on developing awareness and knowledge about bird habitats and their protection, introduced the senior class to their accomplishments in the last year.

Joey and Daniel talked about their journey into the birding realm as well as their progress in creating a new birding guide for SHSID. They talked about several specific types of birds to exemplify the methods they use to identify them, and the senior class was amazed by their extensive knowledge. Their efforts and passion for birding was thoroughly expressed through their presentation.

In the end, the students shared their vision of creating a birding club that will bring further awareness to the importance of protecting the habitats of certain types of birds on campus because they are concerned that the birds are losing their habitats.
