Puxi Grades 1-3: Character Dress Up Day

November is reading month in the primary section of SHSID. This week, the children will create their own stories and share them with their classmates, play a role from their favourite book, and even share their thoughts with the author of “Dog Man”, Dav Pilkey.

November 12th was “Character Dress Up Day”, so children and teachers needed to choose a character from a favourite book to dress up as. We met characters like Peter Pan in the primary section building as well as Harry Potter with a magic wand and Marvel's Spider-Man and Iron Man.

This is an exciting way for students to learn more about each other and to spark student interest in unfamiliar books. We hope the students will explore more about books and characters.
