Grade 11:Cheerleading Performance Training in Progress
“Practice makes perfect.” In the last week of September, many grade 11 students have started their rehearsal for the “class dance”, which they are going to perform at the opening ceremony of the upcoming sports meet. Led by their classmates who are experienced in cheer-leading, the students practiced the dance during lunchtime and afterschool periods to improve their on-stage performance.
This type of performance not only heightens class morale, but also serves to represent the unique identity of each class as a unit. For such reasons, students from each class are engaged actively in this activity, trying their best to follow the beat of the music and move their body in a rhythmic way in order to create the most dramatic effect at the final performance date. Through the process, many students turn from novices to masters of the art of pop dance. During the preparation for the “class dance”, students from grade 11 could have a more thorough understanding of the importance of cooperation and build more connections with their teachers and classmates, while being introduced to the enjoyable experience of dancing (and also cheerleading) at the same time.
Hard work pays off. With their persistence and their commitment to rehearsal, may all the classes have an excellent performance at the sports meet.
