Grades 1-4:Little Musicians Brought Beautiful Music

March 1, 2019

From February 25 to February 28 after lunch, grade one to four students gathered in the primary section auditorium to greet the week-long “Little Musician” event. During these four days, the first to fourth grade musicians came on stage, bringing wonderful performances to students, parents, and teachers.

The first day show brought us lots of surprises. The cool little drummer played a rhythmic jazz drum song, immersing the audience in the bouncing drumbeats. A little girl sang a sweet song Home on the Pasture, reminding everyone of vast green grassland… The sound of guzheng is melodious and beautiful, the flute and the clarinet have a full and smooth sound, and the cello’s sound is soft and low. The last little singers pushed the atmosphere of the first day performance to a climax with a song You Raise Me Up. In the next few days, we enjoyed the classic music played by cellos and violins and different styles of the jazz drum music. Students from all four grades participated in many beautiful songs. On the last day, a second grader even brought a wonderful Peking Opera performance!

The “Little Musician” event provided a stage for the versatile children to show themselves and others their love for many different types of music. We hope this event taught students about different instruments and the ways we can make music.
