Puxi Grade 3: Story Mom—Grandpa Henry Looking for Luck

January 1, 2019

During the Personal Growth class on December 12nd, story moms brought third graders an interesting story called Grand-pa Henry Looking for Luck.

Amy’s grandpa Henry possessed a vast store of knowledge and was able to answer all the questions Amy proposed. One d-ay, Amy asked his grandpa what was lucky. Grandpa Henry didn’t know how to answer, therefore, he went out to look fo-r luck. Finally, he came to the conclusion that luck could be everything and one could find luck everywhere.

After telling the story, the story mom invited students to share what they thought about when they heard the word "lucky". Some students thought a delicious meal cooked by mom was lucky. Some thought finding something they had previously lost was lucky. Some thought a smile from their friends when they were depressed was lucky.

Thanks to our story moms, our kids are more aware of the meaning of lucky. Luck is everywhere in our daily life as long as you are observant and filled with gratitude.
