Saddle Up! Stallions

Since the establishment of the SHSID Stallions basketball team five years ago, the team members have continuously fought through different competitions, bringing both victories and glory to our school. Although the players are non-professional, they have trained intensely under the guidance of their coach. Through the sweat and tears shed in every game and every moment of excitement or sorrow, an unbreakable bond has formed between them, uniting the team as one. It is precisely because of this solidarity spirit that our school basketball team has earned its place in the Shanghai high school basketball realm.

Two years after the establishment of the Stallions, our basketball team participated in the Jr. NBA for the first time and won the championship in one fell swoop. In the following two years, we won two Jr. NBA runner-ups. This year is the first time that SHSID has participated in the Nike High School Basketball League. The Stallions entered the final game despite fierce competition and won second place.

Even when our scores are temporarily behind, the players have never been discouraged, nor have they given up. In each and every single game, the players have tried their very best up to the last second, constantly surpassing their own limits.

Each goal reached represents the hard work of the players. Every cry represents the heartfelt support and love of the fans. Every applause represents the praise and appreciation of the audience. After sending away a lot of strong senior players due to graduation, the team is somber, but at the same time, they are filled with excitement and expectation for the arrival of new players.

Coach Lawman of the Stallions basketball team often said, "Play with heart". The spirit of the Stallions is conviction, courage, concerted efforts, mutual support, and the determination to never give up!
