Feel the Power of Love—Charity Donation Ceremony to Shanghai Healing Home
On November 2nd, the second graders of Puxi campus successfully held their Autumn Charity Fair and raised a lot of money. As planned, the second grade will donate all of the proceeds and charity supplies to Shanghai Healing Home (SHH).
On January 8th, Mr. Aaron, the Operation Lead of SHH, came to SHSID to give a brief introduction of SHH to the second graders and accepted the charity supplies. According to his introduction, SHH is a non-profit foster home assisting local Chinese Children’s Welfare Institutes by providing pre and post-surgical care to abandoned Chinese orphan babies born with surgically correctable deformities. Mr. Aaron showed a warm Christmas movie to give all of the students an overview of SHH, which was quite impressive.
Mr. Aaron told all of the students that their love and charity matter a lot to his organization. He also encouraged the students to study hard so that they can impart their knowledge to those who need it.
Shanghai Healing Home is a real home. It is a warm place, where people genuinely care about kids’ growth. Through this ceremony, all of the students directly felt the importance of helping others. This represents a crucial part of SHSID
CME education. The school and teachers hope that all of students will learn to care about and respect others. We believe that this activity will bring them inspiration and impress them with the power of love.
