College Open Information Session @ SHSID (VI) — Dartmouth College

On the evening of September 25th, Senior Assistant Director from Dartmouth College came to Shanghai High School International Division to host an open information session for the Shanghai community. The admission officer first gave a general introduction of the school including what the student body is like and the unique quarter academic system that grants students more internship opportunities. The session was riddled with engaging examples that enhanced the students’ and parents’ understanding of the Dartmouth experience.

The representative then moved onto the application process of the college and how they weigh the academic and extracurricular components of students. He detailed other elements such as recommendation letters and interviews. The session concluded with a general Q&A session with students and parents voicing their questions and concerns.
