College Open Information Session @ SHSID (III) — Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins University held an open information session at SHSID on the evening of September 10th.

On his second visit to SHSID, Mr. Nick Igo, Assistant Director of Johns Hopkins University, introduced its academics, campus life, opportunities and admissions to 200 potential students and parents.

As the presentation began, Mr. Igo stressed several key aspects of Johns Hopkins: interdisciplinary, flexible and research oriented. He introduced different opportunities students could find on and off campus. He then presented some of Hopkins’ popular activities, including student groups, sports and community service.

Mr. Igo further introduced the city of Baltimore and talked about the application process of Johns Hopkins University. After the presentation, quite a few students and parents stayed for a Q&A with Mr. Igo, who answered patiently.

The information session was very useful for the students applying during the upcoming application season as well as others.
