7-8th Grade Charity Fair
As there were more participants this year compared to last year, the 55 stores owned by the students were assigned to three different areas based on the categories of their goods: in the cafeteria, on the grass and in the open area outside the cafeteria. When you walked into the cafeteria, you would immediately be attracted by the wonderful smell as there were many stores selling different homemade cakes, waffles, cookies and sushi. It was impossible to miss the Girls’ Leadership Program because they were so incredible. They had a big team with 11 girls from 7th grade and their parents. They brought anything they could think of that was easy to sell at the Charity Fair, such as clothes with beautiful paintings, homemade waffles, cupcakes and others. Anyone who passed by their store could not stop himself or herself from buying stuff because they were just so amazing. Some girls and their parents acted as chefs and showed their baking skills. Three weeks before the Charity Fair, they already had had meetings about what they were going to sell. They also spent a lot of time purchasing goods. On the day before the charity fair, they worked until midnight in order to prepare cakes and waffles. Finally, they raised RMB4765 for the Charity Fair.
