Pudong G4: Sports Meet

The 2014 SHSID Pudong Sports Meet was held on April 28th. G4 students marched through the playground in orange shirts and conspicuous yellow hats. They displayed their class motto and slogan creatively.

Nicholas from 4-1, the student representative, gave out a presentation which opened the 2014 SHSID Pudong Sports Meet.

The fitness dance of G1-G3 started right after the marching performance. Their wonderful performance left a deep impression on the parents. After that, G4-G5 students performed martial arts. The entire audience encouraged them with loud applause.

Then the 30 and 50 meter dash commenced. Competitors from each homeroom tried their best to win the race. The audience was excited and supported their athletes by crying out their names. Many other events such as the 3-legged race, Basketball, Tossing Far, and the Kangaroo Jump also started at that same time. Students lined up and registered for each game. If they had any questions, parent volunteers would be there to help them. These volunteers were made up of parents from each class. They wore a card and received a sport's meet schedule.

The parent-involved games were so fun; parents cooperated with their children to finish first. Everyone enjoyed the games a lot and had great fun in sharing time with each other.

The class relay race was the climax of the whole sports meet. Students cheered for their team loudly and they displayed good sportsmanship. The school sports meet turned out to be a great success this year. Everyone is looking forward to next year's sports meet.
