Pu Xi G3：Fire Station

On March 17, our third grade classes had the opportunity to visit the Meilong fire station in XuHui District. First, the firemen led us to visit the big red fire trucks. They showed the rescue facilities and gave us a chance to sit in the trucks.

Then, they showed us the living quarters upstairs. Firemen work very hard to make sure that they keep their rooms very neat. Their blankets are folded in a special way. We were amazed to find their rooms so neat and clean.

The alarm bell sounded when we walked down the stairs. We saw how firemen slide down poles to get to their trucks quickly. Firemen sped off down the road in a minute’s time.

Finally, the firemen showed us how they change their clothes quickly. Some of us learned how and enjoyed it.

At last, we reluctantly left the station. On our way back, we continued talking about how brave firemen are.
