New Year Show
New Year Show
We held our annual New Year Show in Pudong Campus on December 17th.
The theme of this year’s New Year Show was Disney movies. Disney is one of the students’ favorite words. Our students were very excited about this topic, and they couldn’t wait to get started preparing for the New Year Show. After each grade conducted a brainstorming session to decide which movies would be used, we finally settled on a Disney movie for each grade. Grade one students were to perform Lion King, grade two students Mulan, grade three students Aladdin, grade four students The Little Mermaid, and grade five Pocahontas.
After the time and effort we put into the practice and rehearsal of the New Year Show, we finally had the show on December 17th. The students acted out Disney movies using different creative forms. In addition to the classic forms of singing and dancing, the students used Broadway opera style to act out the movies and dubbing to show their interpretations of the movies. In addition, the kids also took the opportunity provided by the New Year Show to show their parents what they learned in school. Grade four kids showed their fabulous skills in playing the flute, and grade five students displayed their talent in playing the guitar.
Parents were very impressed by the show, and the students were also very happy to show their talent in the New Year Show.
