SHSID 2013 Fall College Fair
SHSID 2013 Fall College Fair
On Oct. 26th, SHSID hosted the first Fall College Fair in Xianmian Building. Twenty-one colleges and universities were invited to share their information with parents and students. We hope that students got the chance to talk with the admission officers and college representatives, so as to help them form a more suitable future plan.
This fair is open to students from grades 9-12 and their parents. According to a rough count, over 400 students and 500 parents attended this event.
The theme of this fair is “Come Face to Face with the College of Your Dream.” The 21 colleges were assigned to different classrooms to do their presentations. Before and after the presentations, there were 30-minute Q&A sessions so that individual questions could be addressed. The whole fair lasted for three hours. In order to ensure that parents and students could get more information, the presentations were rotated to ensure the information was repeated three times.
After the presentations, the College Counseling Office sent out a questionnaire to ask for feedback from students and parents. In addition, students and parents got a booklet regarding college application Q&A and 2013 school profiles.(Article/ Picture: College Counseling Office)
Attached is the attendee list of the 2013 Fall College Fair.
