A Notice to Parents

Recently, some parents of other schools in Shanghai received scam phone calls claiming that their children were suffering from an acute disease and were in urgent need of operation. The parents were then urged to go to designated hospitals immediately to sign the operation signature or go through other procedures, especially bring a certain amount of money or transfer them electronically to a certain account. In order to avoid being scammed, SHSID hereby reminds parents that if they receive any phone calls similar to the one described above, they should please contact the homeroom teacher or the director in the first place for verification of the information they get. In case of an emergency occuring to a student at school, the homeroom teacher or other teachers the parents are familiar with will in the first place contact parents, rather than a stranger contacting parents through an unfamiliar telephone number.
