Puxi Campus G7: ASB Election Campaign

September 20, 2026

On the afternoon of September 17, the Grade 7 ASB (Associated Student Body) election campaign of Puxi Campus was held in the Hsi Building Auditorium. All Grade 7 students gathered to take part in the election of the new student representatives and experienced the joy of engaging in campus life through rounds of expression, listening, and voting.

In fact, the "warm-up" had quietly kicked off long before the official event. Well-designed campaign posters on the corridor bulletin boards drew crowds of students to stop and look. Through vivid visuals and texts, the candidates presented their strengths and campaign visions, building up momentum for their formal speeches.

During the afternoon speech session, candidate after candidate took the stage, clearly stating their ideas and proposals. "Listening" emerged as a shared key word among many candidates. They pledged to carefully heed students' opinions, act as a bridge of communication between the student body and school, and respond to expectations for campus life with concrete actions. Drawing on their daily observations, the students put forward a host of specific initiatives, covering the organization and innovation of campus activities, dining experience, peer interaction, and practical needs in daily study and life. Some emphasized their commitment to being "fair and impartial", promising to treat every student's needs equally; others made pledges to earn trust through tangible actions.

The speeches were diverse and impressive: some students delivered their remarks with humor and confidence, while others spoke in a calm and sincere tone, touching the audience with personal stories. Each speech was met with warm applause and cheers. Supporters chanted for their favorite candidates, keeping the atmosphere in the auditorium energetic and uplifting throughout.

Following the speeches, the new Grade 7 ASB team was officially announced after a democratic vote by all students. In the coming school year, they will work alongside teachers, addressing the real needs of their peers, and taking an active part in campus governance.

Through communication, collaboration and practice, they will strive to enhance the overall campus experience, ensure students' voices are heard, and bring more great ideas to life at school.
