Cyano

Cyano is a club aiming to provide a community for students concerned with the environment and nature through outreach activities, volunteer work, and club sessions. The club has started a recycling program that has collected over 100 kg of plastic bottles/paper, and it plans to expand this project in the future. The club plans to partner with a recycling company to repurpose daily waste into upcycled products. The members have hosted three CYANO CHALLENGE events, providing enjoyable and educational environment-related activities for G9-12 students. Cyano also hosted the first-ever Youth Sustainability Summit. Finally, its members also pursue independent environmental projects of their own: some of them are certified Botanic Gardens volunteers, some of them have mini gardens at home, and some of them write educational articles on the club WeChat account. The club welcomes all students interested in the environment and exploring how we can contribute!
