Grade 9 Assembly: Beyond the Classroom

September 25, 2026

On September 23, the Grade 9 morning assembly was held as scheduled at Zhongxing Building. Several student-led clubs and individual sharing sessions took the stage, giving teachers and students a deeper look into campus extracurricular activities and the real stories of student athletes.

First to present was the GT Racing Club. Founded in 2017, the club centers on motorsport and has achieved remarkable results over the years, with members winning multiple awards at high-level competitions such as the NSL China Championship. The speaker introduced the club's three core departments: the Engineering Department focuses on 3D vehicle modeling and CFD analysis to optimize race car design; the Business Team devotes its efforts to finding sponsors and handling partnership matters; and the Media Department runs all official social media platforms, films behind-the-scenes footage, and edits highlight videos to document the club's growth.

Next, Jocelyn from Class 10(5) delivered a heartfelt speech about her difficult journey of recovering from a sports injury. She noted that for competitive athletes, injuries are almost inevitable. The recovery process is not only long and physically painful but also brings heavy psychological pressure — many injured athletes struggle with a sense of lost identity when they cannot train or compete as usual. Even after physical recovery, athletes still face lingering challenges: decreased stamina, disrupted competition rhythm, and diminished technical sharpness, all of which require long-term effort to restore. Her honest sharing resonated with many in the audience.

Finally, members of the Live 2 Drama musical theater club reviewed the impressive performances they had brought to the school over the past few semesters. Looking ahead, they excitedly announced that they will stage the famous musical Mamma Mia! as one of the highlights of the upcoming school Arts Festival. Club members are currently busy rehearsing and preparing, and the news has sparked eager anticipation among students.

The assembly showcased the many faces of students beyond the classroom. Whether through the collaboration and creativity of clubs or the perseverance and honesty of individuals, it offered a richer picture of campus life.
